You can use programs such as WinRAR or WinZip to extract compressed or zipped files.

WinRAR -
Free trial version of WinRAR is available at: You are not allowed to view links.

(or do a google search)

WinZip -

1. Right click on the file you want to extract, and you should be presented with a number of options.

NOTE: This may be a good time to scan your download for any virusus - just click on the "Scan for virusus" - sometimes nasty bugs can hitch a ride with downloads nod

Depending on your default zip program, you can use:
A - ‘Extract files…’
B - ‘Extract Here’ or
C - ‘Extract to ‘name of file’’

Just press "Close" when ever it prompts for registration

A - My default is WinRAR so clicking ‘Extract files…’ would lead to:

Choose a destination and press ok and you’re done.

B – ‘Extract here’ and C - ‘Extract to ‘name of file’’ pretty much does the same thing. WinRAR extracts to wherever the file is currently located – So if it’s on your desktop, a folder will be created on the desktop with all the extracted files.

Note: take care with ‘Extract here’… Sometimes it neglects to make a folder and if the file contains pictures, it will clutter up the whole place…

2. If you want to use Winzip, follow the WinZip link and you get similar options as WinRAR…

Click “Extract to”, “Extract to here” or “Extract to folder…”.
This opens the following window asking you to Buy, Use Evaluation Version or Enter Registration Code…

Simply wait for a couple of seconds until the ‘Use Evaluation Version’ button becomes functional and press it.

You can now find a location to extract the files, and press Extract…

Voila! Done! grins
